Driving the trucks

The trucks are not to be accelerated quickly from a stop or over use of the brakes when coming to a stop.  When pulling out from a stop, slowly accelerate, if the engine gets loud, then you are accelerating too quickly.  Stay in the slow lane. Take your time.  Speed is checked by the phone locator.  The oil is checked after every move, hard driving causes the trucks to burn oil & mechanical issues.  If you continue to drive the trucks hard, then you will be changed to a passenger.

MECHANICAL ISSUES

Any mechanical issue must be reported immediately, regardless of how minor.  As soon as you notice any change in the truck, call 513-578-0319.  Do not try to continue to drive the truck and hope it gets through the day without reporting the issue.  This could result in major damage to the truck as well as a break down on the highway or a road that can be very dangerous.  Some issues can be dealt with after the move, but allow the supervisor to make that choice.

2nd trip moves

After doing your walk through upon arrival at the 1st address, if you believe there is a possiblity of a 2nd trip, inform the customer.  The customer may not want a 2nd trip and would rather leave small items that they may get themselves.  Take snapshots about every 20 to 30 minutes of your stacking of the truck to alleviate a customer blaming you for the 2nd trip.

Damage - Sofa

Leather and Vinyl Sofas are the #1 damaged item.  If you dolly a sofa, you must fold a blanket on the dolly so that the leather or vinyl is not torn by the metal.  Use blankets between walls and door frames to get a sofa through any narrow space where it will come in contact.

DEPENDABILITY

Please be on time.  If you are late:  Increases payroll cost, lowers your stats for pay increase as well as resulting in a lower profit percentage for the day which affects your co-worker, may result in loss of tip or customer complaint for being late for the move or arrival outside of the window for a 2nd move.  

For morning moves, please text 513-578-0319 when you wake up.  
For moves after 11am, please text 513-578-0319 at least an hour before the move.
